Sealed bids for the Jackson Park Playground install, will be received by the City of Medford, Oregon, by Jennifer Huston, Purchasing Agent, City of Medford, Room 380, City Hall, Medford, Oregon 97501, until 11:00 a.m. local time, on February 11, 2016
As soon thereafter as possible, the bids will be opened publicly and read aloud.
This project is a prevailing wage project. Submission of a bid constitutes agreement by the bidder stating that provisions of ORS. 279C.800 to 279C.870 will be met.
This is a Parks and Recreation and US Department of Housing and Urban Development project subject to ORS 279C.800 to ORS 279C.870 and the Davis-Bacon Act.
This project is partially financed through the Community Development Block Grant Program with funds obtained through the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The contract will be subject to compliance with federal regulations. Attention is called to Federal Provisions for Equal Opportunity, Section 3 requirements to encourage employment opportunities for low-income people, Minority Business Enterprise/Women Business Enterprise outreach requirements, and Davis-Bacon federal prevailing wage rates as set forth in the contract documents.
DESCRIPTION: The City of Medford Parks & Recreation Department has been tasked with replacing the existing playground structure at Jackson Park with a new owner provided play structure.
The Contractor will provide all of the required materials and equipment as detailed in the plans and specifications. The path layout and site grading and lighting placement and electrical will be based on the preliminary site plan drawings provided.
There will be a NON-MANDATORY pre-Bid walk-through at 10:00 AM on January 27, 2016. A set of contract documents may be obtained by going to the City of Medford website at www.ci.medford.or.us.

The Owner may reject any bid not in compliance with all the prescribed bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject for good cause, any or all bids upon a finding it is in the public interest to do so. The City also reserves the right to waive any informality in any bid and to delete certain items listed in the bid as set forth therein.
Bids received after the time established for receiving bids will not be considered. Bidders on this work must comply with Federal Construction Labor Standards and with all other applicable federal governmental requirements including, but not limited to equal employment opportunity actions as specified. Federal Davis-Bacon Act (prevailing wage) is required for this project.
