INVITATION TO BID: OREGON WAY PUMP STATION DEMOLITION / CITY SHOPS
UPGRADES
LONGVIEW, WA

Notice is hereby given that separate sealed bids will be received by the City Manager, City of Longview, City Manager’s Office, City Hall, until 2:30 PM on Tuesday, March 1st, 2016, and then publicly opened and tabulated for the Oregon Way Pump Station Demo / City Shop Upgrades project.
Project involves removal of existing building pump station and building an enclosure to place an existing 30kW propane / natural gas system generator at City Shop Facilities. Project also includes replacing existing sliding gates with auto mated gate systems.
Contractor shall be responsible to provide all materials, equipment, labor, services and incidentals needed for installation, start-up, load testing, training, and warrants on parts and labor thereof.
The official clock will be the time/date stamp clock located in the executive office reception area.
Bid documents may be examined in Owner’s office, City of Longview Engineering Division, 1525 Broadway, Longview, WA. Bid documents may be obtained from Builder’s Exchange of Washington at http://bxwa.com. Click on Posted Projects, Public Works, City of Longview and Project Bidding links. These are available for viewing, downloading and printing on your own equipment free of charge. You may also link to the Builder’s Exchange website through the City of Long view’s Projects Open for Bid page at http://www.ci.longview.wa.us/ publicworks /ProjectsForBid.html.
It is the sole responsibility of the Bidder to learn of Addendum, if any. Such information may be obtained from the Builder’s Exchange of Washington web site, http://bxwa.com. The City of Longview accepts no responsibility or liability and will provide no accommodation to bidders who fail to check for addendums and submit inadequate or incorrect responses.
All work performed on this project will be subject to Washington State prevailing wage rates.
At bid opening, all bidders must be enrolled in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Federal E-Verify program.
Cash, cashier’s check, certified check and/or bid bond in an amount equal to at least 5% of the total bid price shall accompany all bids. Bids must be sealed with the outside of the envelope boldly marked to indicate it contains a sealed bid, the bid opening date, and the specific project involved.

The successful bidder will be required to comply with all applicable provisions of the Standard General Conditions of the Construction Contract prepared by the Engineer Joint Contract Documents Committee, together with the Supplementary Conditions thereof.
Two pre-bid conferences will be held at the Longview City Shop, one on Thursday, February 18th, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. and the other on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2016 at 1:00 p.m., local time. The pre-bid conferences will include scope of work and contractor project coordination. Attendance at one of the pre-bid conferences is strongly encouraged, but not required in order to submit a Bid.
The City Council reserves the right to: reject any and/or all bids; accept the bid deemed in the best interest of the City; waive any informalities in the bidding; delay the award of the bid until a regular Council meeting.
