NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Proposed Urban Growth Boundary Expansion – Culver School District – 2.38 acres

The Culver Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing beginning at 6:00 p.m., June 1, 2016, in City Council Chambers of the Culver City Hall. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public testimony concerning a proposed Urban Growth Boundary Expansion of 2.38 acres of Culver School District #4 property. The parcel lies to the South of the City and is owned by the Culver School District #4. It is described by the Jefferson County Assessors Records as Tax Lot 300, Section 19, Township 12 South, Range 13 East, Willamette Meridian. The property has a building that will continue to be used for educational purposes, specifically a “Head Start” early childhood education program. The property is currently zoned Exclusive Farm Use – under the Jefferson County Zoning Ordinance. Upon successful expansion of the Urban Growth Boundary and approval of annexation ballot measure, the properties will be annexed and zoned Open Space/Public Facilities under the City of Culver Zoning Ordinance. The applicable criteria for this request is located in the Statewide Land Use Planning Goals, Jefferson County Zoning Ordinance, City of Culver Comprehensive Plan and City of Culver Zoning Ordinance.
Both proponents and opponents of these issues will be given opportunity to submit written testimony or speak before the Commission. Failure to raise a specific issue during the local review process may preclude an appeal to the City Council or Land Use Board of Appeals based on this issue. A copy of the application and all information related to the proposal is available for review at the City Hall 201 1st Ave in Culver at no cost or supplied at a reasonable cost. A staff report is will be available for review at least seven (7) days prior to the hearings.
