INVITATION TO BID – PART I: MARINA
BASIN MAINTENANCE DREDGING
CAMAS-WASHOUGAL, OR
Bids due: August 30, 2016 @ 3:00 pm
Sealed Proposals will be received by the undersigned at the Port of Camas – Washougal Administrative Offices, located at 24 South “A” Street, Washougal, WA 98671, up to 3:00pm; local time on Tuesday, August 30, 2016, for furnishing the necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools and guarantees thereof to complete the Marina Basin Maintenance Dredging as shown on the Specifications and Drawings.
The Work under this Contract includes Marina Basin Maintenance Hydraulic Dredging to -6 Columbia River Datum (CRD), including all conveyance to sediment re-entry at River Mile 120.6-120.2, Mobilization and de-Mobilization and all work as shown on the Plans and described in the Bid Documents and Specifications.
The Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud shortly after the time and date stated above. Proposals are to be submitted only on the form provided with the Contract Provisions. All Proposals must be accompanied by a cashier’s check, money order, or bid bond payable to the “Port of Camas-Washougal” and in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, with surety acceptable to the Port of Camas-Washougal, for 100% of the contract price. All contractors must file and comply with the prevailing wage laws of the State of Washington, and pay all associated fees. The Port will comply with the statutory retainage requirements for public works contracts.

Bidders and/or contractors are notified to examine thoroughly the bid instructions, proposals, and the form of Contract, Drawings and Specifications. If there be any doubt or obscurity as to the meaning of same, intending bidders or contractors should ask for an explanation before submitting their proposal and/or accepting their Contract. A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the Port of Camas-Washougal Administrative Office 24 South “A” Street, Washougal, WA 98671 at 10:00am. A site visit will be part of the Meeting. All interested bidders are encouraged to attend.
The Port of Camas-Washougal expressly reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals and to waive minor irregularities or informalities and to Award the Project to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder as it best serves the interests of the Port.
