HEARING NOTICE

The Newberg Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on October 13, 2016 at 7 p.m. at the Newberg Public Safety Building, 401 E. Third Street, Newberg, OR, to evaluate the following new proposals:

1. Subdivision tentative plan: Columbia Estates – 24 lots. Consider a subdivision application to divide 3 lots into 24 lots for detached single-family homes. The subdivision name is Columbia Estates, and is located north of Columbia Drive and south of Lynn Drive, Yamhill County tax lots 3218AB-1700, -1701, and -1702. The subdivision will construct a new street extending from Lynn Drive to Columbia Drive. The applicable criteria used to make a decision on this application are found in Newberg Development Code section 15.235.060. File: SUB2-16-002.

2. Transportation System Plan Update. The Transportation System Plan is adopted as a supporting document to the Newberg Comprehensive Plan. Adoption of the Transportation System Plan also includes corresponding Development Code and Comprehensive Plan amendments to modernize the applicable code sections, implement the Transportation System Plan, and comply with the state Transportation Planning Rule.

You may examine information regarding these projects at the Newberg Community Development Department, 414 E. First Street, Newberg, OR 97132, or on the city website at https://www.newbergoregon.gov/planning. The staff recommendation regarding these projects will be available one week before the hearing. If you have any questions, please call the Newberg Planning Division at 503-537-1240. All interested persons may appear and provide testimony. Any written testimony must be submitted to the Community Development Department office by noon on October 10, 2016. Written testimony received after this time will be read out loud at the hearing subject to time limits for speakers, and will be included in the record if there are further proceedings. Only those persons who participate either orally or in writing in the hearing proceedings leading to the adoption of the action may appeal the decision.
