City of Sherwood-Council Vacancy
On October 7, 2014 the Sherwood City Council declared the vacancy of a City Council Seat, vacated by a resignation. Pursuant to the Sherwood City Charter, the City will hold an election at the next available election in March 2015, to fill the seat for the remainder of the term, which expires in January 2017 upon the successor qualifying for office and assumes the seat.
In the interim, the City Council will be accepting applications to fill the vacancy. Persons interested in the appointment to the City Council position can obtain information on the City website www.sherwoodoregon.gov or by contact the City Recorder at email@example.com or 503-625-4246.
Applications must be received by the City Recorder by 5:00 pm on Monday, October 27, 2014.

Notice of Easement Relinquishment to Oregon Department of Transportation
The City Council of Sherwood will hear and consider public input to the matter of relinquishing an existing slopes, water, gas, electric, and communication service lines, fixtures and facilities easement located along the north side of SW Meinecke Parkway northwest of Highway 99 in Washington County, Oregon, back to the Oregon Department of Transportation for eventual vacation. The hearing will be at 7:00 PM on August 19, 2014 at the City Council regular meeting, held at the Sherwood Civic Building – Community Room, 22560 SW Pine Street, Sherwood Oregon.
The existing easement to be relinquished is shown in the map shown below. Upon vacation of the easement, a new 8-foot wide public utility easement will be established.
Said relinquishment is being proposed by the Sherwood City Council, upon the recommendation of the City Engineer. Persons affected thereby who object to the existing easement relinquishment should submit their public input in writing with the City Recorder at City Hall, 22560 SW Pine Street, Sherwood, Oregon, prior to the time set for the hearing.
