* PROPOSED MINOR AMENDMENTS TO THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CODE (“CDC”) CHAPTER 37 RELATING TO HOME OCCUPATIONS

On December 12, 2011, at 6:30 PM, in the West Linn City Hall Council Chambers (22500 Salamo Road, West Linn), the West Linn City Council will hold a public hearing regarding proposed amendments to Chapters 37 of the CDC which relates to home occupations.  The amendments, as recommended by the Planning Commission, would (1) increase the total number of daily roundtrips to a home occupation from the current five trips per day to eight trips per day and (2) extend by one hour the period that vehicles can be unloaded, loaded (including pick up and drop off) or left idling from 7am to 6pm Monday –Friday to 7am to 7pm Monday –Friday.  Saturday and Sunday hours would remain at the current 9am-6pm period.

The applicable standards for the decision are found in Section 98.100 of the CDC.  The hearing will be conducted in accordance with the rules of CDC Section 98.120 CDC.  Anyone wishing to present written testimony on this proposed action may do so in writing prior to, or at the public hearing.  Oral testimony may be presented at the public hearing.  At the public hearing, the City Council will receive a staff report presentation from the City Planner, and invite both oral and written testimony.  The City Council may continue the public hearing to another meeting to obtain additional information, or close the public hearing and take action on the application.  Failure to raise an issue in person or by letter at some point prior to the close of the hearing, or failure to provide sufficient specificity to afford the decision maker an opportunity to respond to the issue, may preclude an appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals based on that issue. At least 10 days prior to the hearing, a copy of the staff report will be available for inspection at City Hall and also on the City’s planning web page at http://westlinnoregon.gov/planning/regulatory-improvement-code-amendment-package-0.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The City of Lake Oswego Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the City Council Chamber located in Lake Oswego City Hall at 380 A Avenue on Monday, December 12, 2011, 6:30 p.m.  The Commission will consider LU 11-0036, a request from the City of Lake Oswego for amendments to the Lake Oswego Community Development Code (CDC) and Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Map amendments.  The proposed amendments are to:

1. Consolidate, reorganize, and make minor text amendments to the following chapters of the Lake Oswego City Code:

Chapter 50 – Community Development Code
Chapter 57 – Solar Access
Chapter 58 – Historic Preservation
Article 45.15 – Fences

2. Rename the following zoning districts for clarity and consistency (there are no changes to regulations or density proposed):

DD zone (Old Town Design District) to be renamed R-DD
WR zone (Waterfront Cabana District) to be renamed R-W
R-2.5 to be renamed WLG R-2.5 (West Lake Grove R-2.5)
OC/R-2.5 to be renamed WLG RMU (West Lake Grove Residential Mixed Use)
OC/NC to be renamed WLG OC (West Lake Grove Office Commercial)
A copy of the proposed amendments is on file in the Planning & Building Services Department at City Hall.  Since the time allowed for public testimony is limited, you are urged to review the record and be thoroughly familiar with it if you plan to testify.

Notice is hereby given that Columbia River People’s Utility District (PUD) will receive sealed bids for our annual line construction materials.  Bids will be received by Columbia River PUD, 64001 Columbia River Highway, Deer Island, Oregon 97054 until 3:30 p.m., pacific prevailing time, on December 8, 2011, at which time the bids will be publicly opened. The bids will be available for public inspection at the PUD office after the bid opening.
