NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The City of Lake Oswego Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the City Council Chamber located in Lake Oswego City Hall at 380 A Avenue on Monday, October 8, 2012, 6:30 p.m. The Commission will consider LU 12-0032, a request from the City of Lake Oswego for amendments to the Comprehensive Plan Map, the text of the Comprehensive Plan, and the Community Development Code (CDC).
Proposed amendments will implement the Foothills Framework Plan by creating a new Special District Plan for the Foothills area. The following changes are being proposed:
* Amend the Lake Oswego Comprehensive Plan text to include a new special district plan for the Foothills District;
* Revise Plan Goals 9, 12, and 14, to revise the Town Center boundary and create a Multimodal Mixed Use Area under OAR 660-12;
* Amend the Comprehensive Plan Map to change portions of the Foothills District currently designated as Industrial (I), Parks and Natural Area (PNA), Public (P), East End Commercial District (EC) and R-0/EC to Foothills Mixed Use (FMU), and designate remnant areas near Tryon Creek (currently zoned I) to PNA;
* Amend the Flood Management Area standards [LOC 50.05.011(7)(b)(i)(2)(b)(ii)] to expand the general fill provisions; and
* Amend the Community Development Code to create a new FMU base zone.
The proposed Foothills Mixed Use District lies between State Street, the Willamette River, Tryon Creek and the Oswego Pointe Condominiums. A southwesterly finger of the District continues between State Street and a driveway serving the Oswego Pointe Apartments and on the south, the Oswego Village Center shopping center. The area comprises approximately 40.4 acres.
A copy of the proposed amendments is on file in the Planning & Building Services Department at City Hall. Since the time allowed for public testimony is limited, you are urged to review the record and be thoroughly familiar with it if you plan to testify.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at 6:30 PM on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2012, the Planning Commission of the City of Beaverton will initially consider the application described below. The Planning Commission will meet at the Beaverton City Hall located at 4755 SW Griffith Drive, Beaverton, Oregon, in the Forrest C. Soth Council Chambers.
TA 2012-0006 JOB TRAINING AND VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION SERVICES IN OI-WS ZONE TEXT AMENDMENT This proposal is to amend the Beaverton Development Code Chapter 20.20.20 Land Uses in Multiple Use Zones to allow “Job Training and Vocational Rehabilitation Services” to be a Permitted within the Office Industrial-Washington Square (OI-WS) zoning district. Currently all educational facilities, including Commercial Schools and Educational Institutions are allowed as Conditional Uses within the OI-WS zoning district. The proposed change reinstates a specific use category allowed under the Office Industrial zoning district, which was the precursor to the OI-WS zoning district.
Approval criteria for the Text Amendment includes Section 126.96.36.199.C. You may review a copy of the staff report and all other documents and evidence submitted in relation to these applications at the City’s Community Development Department Public Counter, located on the 2nd floor of City Hall, on or after October 17, 2012 (7 days prior to the Planning Commission hearing date). Failure to raise an issue prior to or at the Planning Commission hearing, in person or by letter, or failure to provide statements or evidence sufficient to afford the City Council an opportunity to respond to the issue precludes appeal to a court of competent jurisdiction on that issue.

NOTICE OF APPLICATION
Pursuant to Section 50.40.4 of the Beaverton Development Code, public notice of the following development application is being provided:
(Beaverton Town Square First Time Extension)
The applicant is seeking a time extension for a previously approved Design Review application (file # DR2010-0057) that authorized a 19,000 square foot retail and restaurant building. No changes to the originally approved proposal are included with this time extension application. If approved, this time extension request will extend the expiration date of the prior approvals to September 14, 2014. The property is located at 11781 SW Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway.
To be addressed in the staff report, written comments on the above development proposal shall be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 17, 2012. Mailed written comments shall be sent to the Development Services Division, PO Box 4755, Beaverton, OR 97076. The decision-making authority for the above application is the Director. Any decision on the above development application shall be based on the Approval Criteria contained in Section 50.93 of the Beaverton Development Code.
