NOTICE OF FLOODPLAIN PERMIT ISSUANCE

The City of Beaverton intends to issue a site development permit for the proposed THPRD (Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District) Westside to Waterhouse Trail project. The site (the railroad track corridor east of 158th Avenue) near the Merlo Road Light Rail Station at the southeast corner of SW Merlo Road and SW 158th Avenue is within the FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) designated 100-year floodplain of Cedar Mill Creek. The work proposed consists of soil excavation, minor grading, pathway construction, new fencing, and site restoration that may affect flood waters during large storm events. Written appeals, based solely on anticipated adverse effects of this work, may be filed with the City Recorder on or before 5:00 PM, PST, Monday, February 15, 2016. This notice is intended to meet the requirements of Beaverton City Code, Section 9.05.085. A copy of this code and the proposed plans are available for examination at The Beaverton Building (City Hall), Public Works Department, Site Development Division, 12725 SW Millikan Way (4th Floor), Beaverton, Oregon.
