PLANNING COMMISSION HEARING DATES: On July 25, 2016 the City of Oregon City – Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Commission Chambers at City Hall, 625 Center Street, Oregon City 97045 to consider the Legislative action to adopt marijuana regulations.
CITY COMMISSION HEARING DATES: On August 17, 2016 the City of Oregon City – City Commission will conduct a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall Commission Chambers at City Hall, 625 Center Street, Oregon City 97045 on the Legislative action to adopt marijuana regulations.

REQUEST: City staff requests approval of amendments to the Oregon City Municipal Code which provide guidance for marijuana businesses. The proposal includes Time, Place, and Manner Regulations governing marijuana that would become effective if Oregon City voters approve an associated ballot issue in November.

APPLICABLE CODE: Chapters 17.50 (17.50.170 – Legislative hearing process) and 17.68 of the Oregon City Municipal Code, and amending Chapters 17.04, 17.08, 17.10, 17.12, 17.14, 17.16, 17.18, 17.24, 17.26, 17.29, 17.31, 17.32, 17.34, 17.35, 17.36, 17.37, 17.39, and 17.54. The application and all documents submitted by or on behalf of the applicant are available for inspection at no cost at the Oregon City Planning Division, 221 Molalla Avenue, Suite 200, from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. The staff report, with all the applicable approval criteria, will also be available for inspection seven days prior to the hearing. Copies of these materials may be obtained for a reasonable cost in advance. Any interested party may testify at the public hearing or submit written testimony at or prior to the close of the public hearing. Written comments must be received at City Hall by July 15, 2016 to be included in the Planning Commission staff report. Written comments received after this date will be forwarded to the Planning Commission at the hearing. Written comments must be received at City Hall by August 8, 2016 to be included in the City Commission staff report. Written comments received after this date will be forwarded to the City Commission at the hearing.
