A PUBLIC HEARING will be held before the Forest Grove Planning Commission, on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at 7:00 PM, or thereafter, at the Forest Grove Community Auditorium (1915 Main Street) to review the following request. Amend the text of the Forest Grove Development Code necessary for a new industrial zoning district: Business Industrial Park (BIP). The proposed amendments are considered necessary to implement Forest Grove Comprehensive Plan policies related to land use and economic development. The following Development Code sections are affected by this proposal: 10.3.510 (List of Industrial Zones), 10.3.520 (Use Regulations), 10.3.520 (Industrial Zone Development Standards), 10.3.540 (Additional Industrial Zone Standards).

The Planning Commission will consider the proposal and base a decision on the review criteria contained in Forest Grove Development Code Section 10.2.630: A) The text amendment is consistent with the relevant goals and policies of the Forest Grove Comprehensive Plan; and B) The text amendment is consistent with the relevant statewide and regional planning goals, program and rules.

At the time and place of the public hearing, all persons will be given a reasonable opportunity to give testimony about this proposal. If an issue is not raised in the hearing (by person or by letter) or if the issue is not explained in sufficient detail to allow the Planning Commission to respond to the issue, then that issue cannot be used as the basis for an appeal to the City Council or to the Land Use Board of Appeals (LUBA).

If additional documents or evidence are provided in support of an application, any party shall be entitled to a continuance of the hearing. Unless there is a continuance, if a participant so requests before the conclusion of the initial evidentiary hearing, the record shall remain open for at least seven (7) days after the hearing. CONSIDERATION OF PROPOSED URBAN RENEWAL PLAN CONFORMANCE WITH FOREST GROVE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Forest Grove Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, May 5, 2014, at 7:00 PM or thereafter, in the Community Auditorium, 1915 Main Street, Forest Grove, to consider whether a draft urban renewal (tax increment financing) plan conforms with the goals and objectives of the Forest Grove Comprehensive Plan and Forest Grove Economic Development Strategy as required under Oregon Revised Statutes Chapter 457.095(3). The proposed urban renewal plan generally includes the Forest Grove Town Center and Pacific Avenue/19th Avenue Corridor west of the 3900 Block of Pacific Avenue. During the public hearing the Planning Commission will also consider a staff recommendation to forward the draft urban renewal plan for City Council approval.

All interested parties may appear and provide testimony to the Planning Commission on this matter.
