The work must be completed within seventy-five (75) calendar days following Notice to Proceed. The estimated construction cost for this project is $240,000.

The City of Tigard will receive sealed bids from qualified firms at Tigard City Hall’s Information Desk at 13125 SW Hall Blvd., Tigard, Oregon 97223 until 2:00 PM local time, March 28, 2013 for the FY 2013-14 Pavement Management Program – Asphaltic Concrete Overlay construction project.
Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud immediately after the bid’s closing time and date at Tigard City Hall. The engineer’s estimated cost of this project is $900,000.

The project, Asphaltic Concrete Overlay, generally consists of the following:
1. Construction of Asphaltic Concrete Overlay
2. Asphalt concrete removal (grinding) and repair
3. Adjustment of facilities to match new pavement level
4. Installation of vehicle detection loops for traffic signals
5. Applying sealant along pavement edges and joints

Sealed proposals will be received by Craig Allison, Property and Operations Manager for the Port of St. Helens, 100 E. Street, Columbia City, OR  97108 (mailing address: P.O. The work contemplated consists of, but is not limited to, the following:

1. Removal of 29 trees including falling, limbing, firewood production and stacking, chipping, and site restoration.

Engineers Estimate: $80,000 to $90,000

Pre-bid meeting is mandatory (see below). The contract time will be limited to 45 calendar days to substantially complete all work.  Liquidated damages will be charged should the contractor fail to complete the work within the time limit specified.

The proposed contract is subject to the following regulations:

1. Bidders must be qualified in accordance with the applicable parts of ORS 279C in order to enter into a contract with the Owner of Public Work in Oregon.

2. The proposed contract is under and subject to Executive Order 11246 of September 24, 1986 and to the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Federal Labor Provisions. Bidder agrees to be bound by and will comply with the provisions of the Oregon Prevailing Wage Law (ORS 279C.870 and OAR 839-25) and, if applicable, the federal Davis-Bacon Act (40 USC 1377 et seq.), which provides for payment of not less than the applicable prevailing wage rate (state or federal, whichever is greater), including fringe benefits, the posting of wage rates on the jobsite, the furnishing of payroll certifications and other requirements.  In addition, the Bidder will comply with ORS 279C.520 and ORS 279C.540 in the hours of employment and the payment of overtime.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

Hoffman Construction Company, Construction Manager (“CM/GC”) for the Clackamas County Courthouse Addition (“Project”), requests sub-bid proposals for Project on behalf of Clackamas County (“Owner”).  Project consists of a 3-story 5,826 SF addition to the Clackamas County Courthouse.  The structure consists of load-bearing concrete masonry unit walls clad with brick veneer and concrete composite steel roof and floor decking.  The basic function of the addition is a courtroom with holding cells and a vehicle sallyport.  The bid package includes all areas of work.

A non-mandatory, but strongly encouraged, pre-bid meeting and site visit has been scheduled for 10:00 a.m, August 31, 2012 at the Clackamas County Courthouse jobsite.  Attendees are to meet at the Courthouse steps, 807 Main Street, Oregon City, Oregon 97045.  All bidders are encouraged to attend in order to acquaint themselves with the local conditions under which the work is to be performed and to correlate personal observations with the requirements of the contract documents.

Bidders must be properly licensed with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board (“CCB”) at the time of bid.  Bidders are required to file a $30,000 Public Works Bond with the CCB in accordance with ORS 279C.836 EXCEPT exemptions allowed under paragraphs (7) or (8) will not be permitted.  Due to the scheduled start of the work, the $30,000 Public Works Bond must be on file with the CCB at the time of bid.  This is a prevailing wage project.  Bidders must comply with requirements of the prevailing wage law in ORS Chapter 279C.
