INVITATION TO BID: TIOGA HEATING SYSTEM REPAIRS PROJECT NO. 17003 COOS BAY, OR Bids due: June 29, 2017 @ 2:00 pm Notice is hereby given that sealed bids are invited for the Tioga Hall Heating System Repairs project located at 1988 Newmark Avenue, Coos Bay, Oregon. Project involves mechanical and electrical work for the replacement of terminal units on third and fourth floors and replacement of fan motors. Bids must be in writing and delivered to the office of Crow/Clay & Associates Inc., Architecture and Planning; 125 W. Central Avenue, Suite 400; Coos Bay, Oregon 97420. Bids will be accepted until 2:00 P. M., June 29, 2017. Bids will be opened and read in a public meeting at the office of Crow/Clay & Associates Inc., scheduled for 2:05 P. M., June 29, 2017. Bids received after 2:00 P. M., will not be received or considered. After opening, the bids will be available for public inspection. Construction Documents may be examined at the office of the Architect: Crow/ Clay & Associates Inc., Architecture and Planning; 125 W. Central Avenue, Suite 400; Coos Bay, OR 97420; (541) 269-9388; at the prequalified Contractor’s offices listed above and at the following locations: Premier Builders Exchange, Bend; Contractors Plan Center, Clackamas; Daily Journal of Commerce; Dodge Data & Analytics, Port land; Douglas County Plan Center, Roseburg; Eugene Builders Exchange, Eugene; Klamath Falls Builders Exchange, Klamath Falls; Medford Builders Exchange, Medford; and Salem Contractors Exchange, Salem. Prime bidders may obtain electronic Construction Documents by contacting the Architect’s office. No deposit for electronic Construction Documents will be required. A hard copy of the Construction Documents may be obtained from the Architect’s office for the cost of printing. Pre-Bid Conference to be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Tioga Hall. Meet in Parking Lot 2 behind Tioga Hall. The Pre-Bid Conference is not mandatory. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by bid security in the form of a Cashier’s Check issued in favor of the Owner or a bid bond issued by a bonding company acceptable to the Owner. Bid security must be for 10% of amount of the bid and guarantee bids for a period of thirty (30) days after bid opening. The provisions of ORS 279c.800 to 279c.870 relative to prevailing wage rates shall be complied with by the successful bidder and all subcontractors, and appropriate certificates indicating compliance will be required. Within two hours of the bid opening, all bidders to be considered as responsive, shall submit at the above address, a form, disclosing the names, addresses, Construction Contractor’s Board numbers, if applicable, of all first-tier subcontractors whose contract value for labor or labor and material exceeds 5% of the total project bid or $15,000, whichever is greater. Southwestern Oregon Community College may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject for good cause any or all bids upon a finding by Southwestern Oregon Community College that it is in the public interest to do so. South western Oregon Community College reserves the right to waive minor irregularities in Bid Form upon a finding by Southwestern Oregon Community College that it is in the public interest to do so.
