NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The City

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The City of Lake Oswego Planning Commission will hold a public hearing in the City Council Chamber located in Lake Oswego City Hall at 380 A Avenue on Monday, August 14, 2017, 6:30 p.m. The Commission will consider LU 17-0028, a request from the City of Lake Oswego for text amendments to the Community Development Code (CDC) for the purpose of implementing the Boones Ferry Road capital improvement project. Since the planning work for the Lake Grove Village Center (LGVC) began in 2001, parking has been a point of discussion and concern. One of the key policy issues identified by the community was ensuring that the City’s right-of-way acquisition necessary to implement the BFR Project did not result in reduced commercial parking. The City is now in the final design phases for Phase I of the BFR Project and has determined the extent of the private property impacts. The current proposal provides a streamlined path for property owners to recapture any lost parking, expands existing Code exceptions for required parking and landscaping in the LGVC, and updates the BFR Special Street Setback based on the new right-of-way. The proposed text amendments to the Lake Oswego Community (LOC) Development Code are to the following sections: LOC 50.04.002 Special Street Setbacks; 50.05.007 Lake Grove Village Center Overlay District; and LOC 50.07.003.13 Ministerial Development Decisions. A copy of the proposed amendments is on file in the Planning & Building Services Department at City Hall. Since the time allowed for public testimony is limited, you are urged to review the record and be thoroughly familiar with it if you plan to testify.
