NOTICE OF APPLICATION Pursuant to Section 50.40.4 of the Beaverton Development Code, public notice of the following development application is being provided: DR2017-0005 / SDM2017-0001 / TP2017-0003 Beaverton Creek Shared Use Path The City of Beaverton is seeking approval of a Design Review Compliance Letter, Sidewalk Design Modification application and Tree Plan Two application for a project to construct an 850-foot-long by 12-foot-wide shared sidewalk and bicycle path from SW Lombard Ave. to SW Hall Blvd. and an on-street path between SW Hall Blvd. and SW Cedar Hills Blvd. The path is proposed to be on the north side of the light rail tracks and Beaverton Creek, east of SW Hall Blvd. Minor improvements to sidewalk and bike route and wayfinding signage will also occur as a part of this project as needed. The City intends to commence construction of the proposed project in 2017 or 2018. The project area includes the FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) designated 100-year flood plain and floodway of Beaverton Creek. The work proposed includes construction of an all-new cantilevered bridge to connect to the existing bridge at SW Hall Blvd., sidewalk and bicycle pathway construction, utility work, and new landscaping that will affect flood waters during large storm events. Written appeals, based solely on anticipated adverse effects of this work, may be filed with the City Recorder on or before 5:00 PM, Pacific Time, August 30, 2017. This notice is intended to meet the requirements of Beaverton City Code, Section 9.05.085. A copy of this code and the proposed plans are available for examination at Beaverton City Hall, Community Development Department, Site Development Division, 12725 SW Millikan Way. To be addressed in the staff report, written comments on the above development proposal shall be submitted no later than 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2017. Mailed written comments shall be sent to the Planning Division, PO Box 4755, Beaverton, OR 97076. Written comments submitted in person shall be delivered to the Beaverton Planning Division, 4th floor, Beaverton Building, 12725 SW Millikan Way between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The decision-making authority for the above application is the Community Development Department Director. Any decision on the above development application shall be based on the Approval Criteria contained in Development Code Sections 40.03 Facilities Review, Section Design Review Compliance Letter, Section 40.58.15.C Sidewalk Design Modification, and Section Tree Plan Two.
