PUBLIC NOTICE FOR A CATEGORICAL EXCLUSION The Oregon Health Authority Drinking Water Services has determined that the proposed DWSRF Source Water Protection Grant-SWP-17-04 for the Rivergrove Water District conforms to the criteria and requirements of Oregon Administrative Rules 333-061-0063 and the supporting guidance manual Environmental Review Process Handbook. This project consists of the Rivergrove Water District offering cash rebate programs to private septic system owners for septic inspection, repair, and/or pump out, and, to private well owners for well abandonment after doing a comparative risk analysis to the source water protection area of the District’s drinking water supply. The District will update marketing and educational materials for water quality and pollution reduction, specifically on the proper care and maintenance of septic systems and wells and more generally as groundwater protection tips to homeowners to be distributed in areas both within and nearby the District. The District intends to schedule informative workshops on the care and maintenance of septic systems. DWSRF Source Water Protection Grant-SWP-17-04 is therefore categorically excluded from further environmental review as allowed in the above referenced rules.
