NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Proposal: Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance text amendments to adopt the update of the City of Gladstone Transportation System Plan (2017 TSP) as the Transportation Element of the City’s Comprehensive Plan and legislative amendments to Gladstone Municipal Code Title 17, Zoning and Development, in support of TSP implementation. On Tuesday, September 19, 2017, beginning no earlier than 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Gladstone City Hall, 525 Portland Ave., Gladstone, Oregon, the Gladstone Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider the adoption of the 2017 City of Gladstone Transportation System Plan (2017 TSP) to update the 1995 plan and adopt amendments to Title 17, Zoning and Development of the Gladstone Municipal Code to implement the 2017 TSP. The 2017 TSP is the Transportation Element of the Gladstone Comprehensive Plan. The 2017 TSP was developed through a citizen and technical process and is consistent with the Metro 2040 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) and the 2012 Regional Transportation Functional Plan (RTFP). The 2017 TSP addresses growth in Gladstone and its surrounding communities; includes updated system maps by mode (Pedestrian, Bicycle, Transit, and Motor Vehicle); and identifies transportation needs and solutions. It also includes a prioritized transportation and program project list for transportation investments through the year 2040. The purpose of the Planning Commission hearing is to consider the proposal, any testimony presented at the hearing, and to arrive at a recommendation to forward to the City Council for final decision. The City Council is currently scheduled to consider the proposal on October 10, 2017, beginning no earlier than 7:30 pm in the Council Chambers of Gladstone City Hall. This proposal is subject to Chapter 17.68, Amendments and Zone Changes Title 17, and Chapter 17.94, Hearings Title 17 of the Gladstone Municipal Code and is available for inspection at Gladstone City Hall and at Clackamas County offices at 150 Beavercreek Road, Oregon City, Oregon.
