RE-NOTICE OF APPLICATION Pursuant to Section 50.45.4&6 of the Beaverton Development Code, public notice of the following application is being provided: Public Safety Center Comprehensive Plan Map and Zoning Map Amendments (CPA2017-0010 / ZMA2017-0008) The Beaverton Police Department proposes a Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment for a property that currently has the Neighborhood Residential – Standard Density (NR-SD) designation and a Zoning Map Amendment for two properties currently zoned R7 (Urban Standard Density) located just south of the Beaverton Activities Center. The City proposes to apply Neighborhood Service Center (NS) zoning to the subject sites to match the zoning and land use designation of adjacent City-owned property to the north. No new development is proposed as part of this application, however, the larger site is the location of the City’s future Public Safety Center, as approved by voters in 2016. The sites are located at the south of the southwest corner of the intersection of SW Allen Blvd. and SW Hall Blvd. and described as Tax Lot 602 and a portion of Tax Lot 700 on Washington County Tax Assessor’s Map 1S121AA. Mailed written comments shall be sent to the Planning Division, PO Box 4755, Beaverton, OR 97076. Written comments submitted in person shall be delivered to the Planning Division, 4th Floor, Beaverton Building, 12725 SW Millikan Way. The decision-making authority for the above application is the City Council, which will review the proposal in accordance with the approval criteria contained in Comprehensive Plan Section 1.4.2 (Quasi-Judicial Amendments) Development Code Section 40.97.15.1.C (Zoning Map Amendment). The Planning Commission is scheduled to hold a public hearing on the above application on Wednesday, January 17, 2018, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in City Council Chambers, First Floor, Beaverton Building. Pursuant to Section 50.88 of the Beaverton Development Code, written comments or exhibits submitted prior to the hearing to be submitted by staff at the hearing must be received by the City Recorder no later than 4:30 p.m. on the day of the scheduled hearing. All submittals that are more than two (2) letter size pages must include no fewer than ten (10) complete copies of the materials being submitted. Copies of the staff report will be available for inspection at the Planning Division Planning Counter or may be purchased at reasonable cost or are available for on-line viewing at www.beavertonoregon.gov.
