NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING – Downtown Revitalization Plan

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Proposal: Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance text amendments to adopt the City of Gladstone Downtown Revitalization Plan. On Tuesday, January 9, 2018 beginning no earlier than 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Gladstone City Hall, 525 Portland Ave., Gladstone, Oregon, the Gladstone City Council will hold a public hearing to consider the addition of the Downtown Revitalization Plan to the Gladstone Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance. The Downtown Gladstone Revitalization Plan presents a future vision for a Portland Avenue of renewed business activity, investment and connectivity for pedestrians, bikes and vehicles. The Plan is designed to remain an action-oriented document that lays out a path to accomplishing this vision. The Plan describes the vision of downtown, and details policy strategies and next steps to help make it a reality. The purpose of the City Council hearing is to consider the proposal, any testimony presented at the hearing, and to arrive at a decision relating to the adoption of the City of Gladstone Downtown Revitalization Plan as an amendment to the Gladstone Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinance. Written testimony may be submitted to the Gladstone City Administrator by 5pm on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. This proposal is subject to Chapter 17.68, Amendments and Zone Changes Title 17, and Chapter 17.94, Hearings Title 17 of the Gladstone Municipal Code. The Gladstone Revitalization Plan is available for viewing on the City of Gladstone website https://www.ci.gladstone.or.us/community/project/gladstone-downtown-revitalization-plan or a copy of the plan is available for a reasonable cost.
