NOTICE OF BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Forest Grove School District, Washington County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, will be held on the 14th day of May, 2020 at 6:00 PM. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget. Please note that in light of the COVID-19 state-wide restrictions and in keeping with the efforts of social distancing to reduce the spread of the coronavirus, the meeting of the Forest Grove School District Budget Committee will be conducted online, rather than in person. A virtual meeting hyperlink will be posted prior to the meeting on the Forest Grove School Board Meeting webpage: https://www.fgsdk12.org/apps/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=1139201&type=d&pREC_ID=1404152 With respect to the social distancing recommendation, the Budget Committee will only accept written comment or testimony for the May 14, 2020 meeting. Please submit comment or testimony via email to budget2021@fgsd.k12.or.us, or by mail addressed to the Forest Grove School District Budget Committee, 1728 Main Street, Forest Grove, OR 97116. Please ensure that communication is clearly labeled as public comment or testimony. These communications must be received by 5:00 p.m. on May 13, 2020, and will be presented to the Budget Committee at the May 14, 2020 meeting. There will also be opportunities for public comments to be made during the May 14, 2020 meeting via a Google form hyperlink that will be posted on the Forest Grove School Board Meeting webpage referenced above. The Forest Grove School District Budget Committee remains committed to the public comment process and will consider all public comments submitted. An additional meeting of the Forest Grove School District Budget Committee is scheduled to be held on the 19th day of May, 2020 at 6:00 PM, and will also be conducted online.
