NOTICE OF ELECTION Beginning July 27, the City of Milwaukie will accept petitions for City Council positions 1 and 3 for the Nov. 3, 2020, general election. Individuals elected to these positions will serve four-year terms from Jan. 1, 2021 to Dec. 31, 2024. The city elections officer (city recorder) will accept nomination papers comprising a petition starting at 8 a.m. on July 27, 2020 until the end of business on Aug. 25, 2020. Prospective candidates must be a qualified elector of the State of Oregon and have been a resident of Milwaukie since at least May 3, 2020, six months prior to the election. All City Council positions are non-partisan and elected at-large. Those interested in running for office must contact the city elections officer to discuss the process.
