Sealed bids for the construction of the EBID PACKAGE 201: CIVIL Earthwork & Site Piping will be received by Mortenson Construction, on behalf of the City of Coos Bay, at Coos Bay City Hall until 2:00 pm PDT on Thursday, September 22, 2016. Sealed bids will be opened publicly and read aloud. Bids received after this time will not be accepted.
SCOPE: Structural excavation and backfill of seven (7) structures and associated site piping that make up the new City of Coos Bay Wastewater Treatment Plant 2 Expansion & Upgrade project. Specific attention shall be made to the SUMMARY OF WORK and SCOPE OF WORK in the Bidder Manual that is part of the bid documents.
Bidders must download Bidding Documents from QuestCDN in order to be included on the plan holders list, receive copies of addenda, and be qualified to submit a bid for this project. A non-mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on Thursday September 8, 2016 at 10:00 am in the Conference Room at the Coos Bay City Hall (500 Central Ave., Coos Bay, OR 97420) followed by a project site tour. Bidders are encouraged to attend this meeting so as to view conditions of the site. PPE is required (hard hat, hard-soled shoes, safety vest).
MORTENSON IS ACTING AS CONSTRUCTION MANAGER/GENERAL CONTRACTOR (CM/GC) FOR THE CITY OF COOS BAY. BIDS MUST BE SUBMITTED AS DICTATED IN THE INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS and BIDDER MANUAL IN THE CONTRACT BID DOCUMENTS. This contract is for a public work subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279.870. Prevailing wage rates for public works contracts in Oregon are required for this project. Bidding will follow requirements set forth in the State of Oregon DEQ Clean Water State Revolving Fund Construction Management/ General Contractor Alternative Contracting Process manual dated July 2011.
