INVITATION TO BID: 99E HIGHWAY / SE MCLOUGHLIN BOULEVARD CIP 2016-Y13 MILWAUKIE, OR Bids due: November 10, 2016 @ 2:00 pm Sealed bids for 99E Highway / McLoughlin Boulevard – Utility Relocation project will be received at the City of Milwaukie Community Development Office located at 6101 SE Johnson Creek Boulevard, Milwaukie, OR 97206 until 2:00 PM on November 10, 2016, at which time the sealed bids will be publicly opened and read. Bids received after 2:00PM shall not be considered. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion of the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to the following: Realignment of sanitary sewer line on 99E Highway / SE McLoughlin Boulevard from SE Ochoco Street to SE Clatsop Street. Abandon water line on 99E Highway / SE McLoughlin Boulevard from SE Milport Road to SE Beta Street and install new water line on SE Main Street from SE Mailwell Drive to SE Beta Street. Upsize storm sewer pipe on SE Main Street and SE Milport Port from 18 to 36 PVC Pipe. Any performance of such additional and incidental work as called for by the Contract Documents. All work is to be completed by ninety (90) calendar days or April 1, 2017 which ever comes the earliest. The Contract Documents may be examined at http://bids.milwaukieoregon.gov. Interested parties will need to create a free login account to view contract documents. The account will be used to notify plan holders of any addenda throughout the bidding process. All bids shall be submitted on the furnished Bid Submission Packet in a sealed envelope plainly identifying the project name, project number, bid opening time and date, bidder’s name, and contractor’s license number. Sealed bids shall be addressed to Rick Buen, Civil Engineer, City of Milwaukie, Community Development, 6101 SE Johnson Creek Boulevard, Milwaukie, OR 97206. All bids shall be submitted in the prescribed form and said manner as indicated in the Information for Bidders. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond executed in favor of the City of Milwaukie in an amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount. Bidders shall be pre-qualified with the Oregon Department of Transportation, in the Class of Work as appropriate prior to the public opening and reading of the bids. No bid will be considered unless the bid contains, or is accompanied by, a statement by the bidder that the provisions required by ORS 279C.838 or ORS 279C.840, as applicable, pertaining to prevailing wages, shall be included as part of the Contract.
