INVITATION TO BID: INDEPENDENCE LANDING PUBLIC STREETS AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS INDEPENDENCE, OR Bids due: September 1, 2016 @ 2:00 pm Sealed bids for the Independence Landing Public Streets and Utility Improvements will be received on behalf of the City of Independence by Michael Danko, Community Development Director at 555 South Main Street, Independence, OR 97351, until the bid closing time of 2:00 p.m. local time on September 1, 2016. Bids will be immediately opened after the bid closing time and read out loud per City Rule 130-049-0330(2) and (3). Bids shall be clearly marked Bid for the Independence Landing Public Streets and Utility Improvements showing the date and time of the public bid closing, as well as the Bidders name and shall be delivered to the location specified above, on or before the bid closing time. Bidder prequalifications are not required for this project. By no later than 4:00 p.m. local time on September 1, 2016, each bidder shall deliver to Michael Danko at the same address as the bids were delivered to, the First Tier Subcontractor Disclosure Form contained in the bidding documents. This form shall be submitted regardless of the bid total. Bidders who fail to submit the required disclosure form will be considered non-responsive, and their bid will not be considered for award. The disclosure form shall either be submitted in the same envelope as the bid, or shall be submitted in a separate sealed envelope clearly marked Disclosure Form for Independence Landing Public Streets and Utility Improvements showing the date and time of the disclosure submittal deadline, as well as the Bidders name. Faxed or electronically mailed (email) bids will not be accepted. The official clock shall be the clock located in the City Hall Council Chambers. The work includes approximately 2,000 lineal feet of new street and utility improvements for the Independence Landing subdivision. THE WORK IS SCHEDULED TO BEGIN LATE FALL OF 2016 AND BE SUBSTANTIALLY COMPLETE IN 300 CALENDAR DAYS (APPROXIMATELY AUGUST 1, 2017).
