CITY OF HILLSBORO NOTICE OF RESCHEDULED PUBLIC HEARING CASE FILE NO.: HCP-002-16 GARNER NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Hillsboro Planning Commission, at or shortly after 6:00 p.m., on Monday, January 23, 2017, in the Shirley Huffman Auditorium of the Hillsboro Civic Center, 150 E Main Street, Hillsboro, Oregon. A public hearing was noticed for and was to be held before the Planning Commission on Wednesday, January 11, 2017; however, due to inclement weather, the meeting was cancelled. Due to the cancellation, the public hearing has been rescheduled for January 23, 2017. At this hearing, the Commission will consider a change to the Comprehensive Plan Map designation on the northern portion of the property from RM Residential Medium Density to IN Industrial. The purpose of the requested map amendment is to remove the current split designation on the property and to allow for a future zone change and industrial development. A future request to change the zoning on the property is anticipated. The property owners are Charles and Dana Garner, who are represented by NW Engineers, LLC. The subject property is approximately 0.49 acres in size, generally located north of SE Alexander Street, south of SE Witch Hazel Road, and east of SE Brookwood Avenue, and can be specifically identified as Tax Lot 5800 on Washington County Assessor’s Tax Map 1S2-09AD. The procedure by which a Comprehensive Plan map amendment is processed may be found in Section 1 (IV) of the Hillsboro Comprehensive Plan (HCP). The HCP may be viewed online at or in the Planning Department Office. The staff report on this matter was made available on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. The staff report and the applicable criteria are available for public inspection at no cost, or copies can be provided at reasonable cost, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays, in the Planning Department at the Hillsboro Civic Center, 150 E Main Street, 4th floor, Hillsboro, Oregon. All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting and will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning the proposal. Oral testimony will be taken in the following order: staff report; proponents; opponents; and Staff’s response. Oral testimony should avoid repetition of issues, and should be based on the application or on the approval criteria.
