INVITATION TO BID: STUDENT TRANSPORTATION SERVICES RFP 17-00-04 MEDFORD, OR Bids due May 10, 2017 @ 2:00 pm Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals will be received at the District Office of the Medford School District, 815 South Oakdale Avenue, Medford, OR 97501 until 2:00 p.m. PDT on May 10, 2017, for services as described in the specifications. Proposals will address the provision of pupil transportation for Medford School District students including home to school, special programs, co-curricular activities, and field trips for the minimum period beginning July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2022. Any company or individual interested in submitting a Proposal for Student Transportation Services is required to first register with the District by submitting a Letter of Interest on Proposer’s official letterhead indicating the Proposer’s name, mailing address, e-mail address, telephone number, and stating Proposer’s intent to provide District with a Proposal for Student Transportation Services. To register, Proposer shall submit a Certified letter to Brad Earl, Chief Operations Officer, Medford School District 549c, 815 South Oakdale Avenue, Medford, OR 97501 by no later than 4:00 p.m. PDT on April 10, 2017. Attention is called to the provisions of the Oregon Statutes, Chapter 279. The bidder must indicate if bidder is a resident bidder as defined in ORS 279.029 and if the contractor and subcontractors are licensed under ORS 701.005 – 701.055. The district reserves the right to (1) reject any Proposal not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, (2) to add to the price bid by nonresident bidders an increase equal to the percent preference that the nonresident bidders home state would give its instate bidders and (3) to reject for good cause any or all Bids that are not in the best interest of the district (4) to reject any or all proposals, in whole or in part, to waive an informality and to delete items prior to making the award, whenever it is deemed in the sole opinion of Medford School District to be in its best interest.
