City Hall HVAC Improvements

INVITATION TO BID: CITY HALL HVAC IMPROVEMENTS NEWPORT, OR Bids due May 9, 2017 @ 11:00 am Sealed bids for the construction of the City Hall HVAC Improvements in the City of Newport (Lincoln County), Oregon, will be received by Tim Gross, PE, Public Works Director/City Engineer, at City Hall, 169 SW Coast Highway, Newport, OR 97365, until 11:00 am. May 9, 2017 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. All interested parties are invited to attend. Subcontractor declarations must be submitted to the above-mentioned City representative no later than 1:00 pm on the day of the bid opening. The scope of work includes the following: Remove 5 existing Rooftop units, and associated terminal units. Patch roof watertight from demolition of rooftop units. Install new Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) System including new condensing units, new fan coils, branch selectors, energy recovery ventilators and roof ventilators. Install new ductwork for connections to new equipment and/or existing ductwork. Install new controls for the VRF system. Rebalance airflow of all grilles and diffusers. Electrical connections will be removed and reconnected and additional lighting will be added to the attic. Bidding documents may be examined at the Oregon Procurement Information Network (ORPIN) website at: Contractors, vendors, and suppliers wishing to download the specifications and drawings may do so at the ORPIN website. All contractors, vendors, and suppliers interested in the project must register through the ORPIN website so that they may receive addenda and other bidding information that may become available during the advertising and bid period. No other entity or plan center will issue addenda. Pre-bid inquiries shall be directed to Olaf Sweetman, PE, Assistant City Engineer, at 541-574-3376 or o.sweetman@newportore The pre-bid conference will be held April 25, 2017 at 10:00 am at City Hall, 169 SW Coast Highway, Newport, OR 97365. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is strongly encouraged but is not mandatory. Bidders must submit a Statement of Qualifications with bid package as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. This contract is for public work and is subject to ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870 regarding prevailing wage rates.
