INVITATION TO BID: AIRFIELD LIGHTING, ELECTRICAL IMPROVEMENTS AND APRON PAVEMENT RECONSTRUCTION AIP PROJECT NO. 3-41-0011-008 GRANTS PASS, OR Bids due: June 29, 2017 @ 2:00 pm Josephine County is seeking a qualified contractor to construct Airfield Lighting, Electrical Improvements and Apron Pavement Reconstruction work at the Illinois Valley Airport. Major elements of work for the project include, but are not limited to an asphalt aircraft parking apron, aircraft tie-down anchor installation, pavement marking, medium intensity runway edge lighting, Precision Approach Path Indicators, Runway End Identifier Lights, a rotating beacon, an electrical equipment building, and a standby generator. Sealed Bids shall be addressed to and received by the Josephine County Board of Commissioners at the Josephine County Courthouse, Room 157, 500 NW 6th Street, Grants Pass, OR 97526 not later than 2:00 p.m., local time, on the 29th day of June, 2017, and then will be publicly opened and read. Bids submitted after the above-specified time shall not be received or opened. This contract is for a public work subject to Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries (ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870) and the Davis-Bacon Act (40 U.S.C. 3141, et seq). The Bidder must agree that the requirements and conditions of employment be observed and minimum wage rates, as established by the U.S. Secretary of Labor, or the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries, whichever is higher, be paid under the Contract. Contractors must be qualified in accordance with ORS 279 and other applicable sections of the Oregon Revised Statutes in order to enter into a Contract with the Owner for public work in Oregon.
