NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL (LOC 38.06.020 Utility User Charge) Water Charges – Unincorporated Former Forest Highlands Water District Hearing Date, Time, and Location: Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. City Council Chambers 380 A Avenue Lake Oswego, OR 97034 Nature of Hearing The City Council will hold a public hearing to consider increasing charges for water in unincorporated portions of the former Forest Highlands Water District, to be consistent with the water rates charged to customers in other unincorporated areas. Under an intergovernmental agreement entered into when the Forest Highlands Water District dissolved, Lake Oswego agreed to provide water to remaining unincorporated properties in the former district for 25 years at in-city rates. That agreement expired on April 28, 2017. The proposed water rate increase would be implemented through the adoption of Resolution 17-36, which will be considered at the public hearing. Copies of the Resolution will be available from the City Recorder one week in advance of the hearing.
