NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Hillsboro Planning and Zoning Hearings Board, at or shortly after 6:30 p.m., on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, in Conference Room C113B of the Civic Center, 150 E Main Street, Hillsboro, Oregon. At this hearing, the Board will consider a request for a zone change on one property approximately 1.34 acres in size, from SFR-7 Single Family Residential to MFR-1 Multi Family Residential. The requested zone change is to bring the property into compliance with the underlying Comprehensive Plan designation, RM Medium Density Residential. The purpose of the zone change is to allow for multi-family residential development in the future. The subject property is addressed as 331 NE 28th Avenue and can be specifically identified as Tax Lot 402 on Washington County Assessor’s Tax Map 1N2-32DC, and is generally located north of NE Hampton Court, south of the Westside Lightrail line, east of NE 25th Avenue and west of NE 28th Avenue. The property owner and applicant is Tim Calhoun, Five C, Inc. The applicable criteria for this application are included in Section 12.80.160 of the Community Development Code (CDC). The CDC may be viewed online at communitydevelopmentcode or in the Planning Department office. The staff report on this matter will be available on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. The staff report, the application materials, and the applicable criteria are available for public inspection at no cost, or copies can be provided at reasonable cost, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays, in the Planning Department at the Hillsboro Civic Center, 150 E Main Street, 4th floor, Hillsboro, Oregon. All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting and will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning the proposal. Oral testimony will be taken in the following order: applicant; other proponents; opponents; and applicant’s rebuttal. Oral testimony should avoid repetition of issues, and should be based on the application or on the approval criteria listed above. ORS 197.763 provides that under certain circumstances, the record may remain open or a continuance may be granted upon the request of a participant. If you are unable to attend the hearing, you may submit a written statement to the Planning Director at 150 E Main Street, Hillsboro, OR 97123, on or before the hearing date. Telephone conversations cannot be accepted as testimony. Please reference the Case File No. on all written testimony.
