CITY OF HILLSBORO NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Hillsboro Planning Commission, at or shortly after 6:00 p.m., on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, in the Shirley Huffman Auditorium of the Civic Center, 150 E Main Street, Hillsboro, Oregon. At this hearing, the Commission will consider a request for approval of a Planned Unit Development Concept Plan application for the Willow Creek Crossing Apartments to be located on three properties approximately 1.36 acres in size. The applicant proposes construction of a 6-story, 121-unit apartment building. The first floor will contain approximately 2,350 square feet of leasable office space, lobby space, community room, bike parking exercise room, and 6 apartment units. The remaining floors will contain the remainder 115 apartment units. The site will also include off-street parking and a playground area. The applicant is also proposing three major adjustments to allow reductions to the required minimum commercial space square footage, to the number of required vehicle parking spaces, and to allow for the use of compact parking spaces in conjunction with universal parking spaces. The apartment units will be reserved for households whose incomes are at or below 60% of the metro region area median income, with 15 units awarded project based vouchers targeted to persons at or below 30% of the metro region median family income. The property owner is Skip Grodahl, DGB Properties, LLC and the applicant is Erik Dorsett, TVA Architects. The subject properties can be specifically identified as Tax Lots 3000, 3100, and 3200 on Washington County Assessor’s Tax Map 1S2-01AA and is generally located north W Baseline Road, south of the Westside Lightrail Line, east of SW Lisa Drive, and west of SW 185th Avenue. The applicable criteria for this application are included in Section 12.80.120 of the Community Development Code (CDC).
