CITY OF HILLSBORO NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CASE FILE NOS.: HPC-001-17 HILLSBORO COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE AND, CDCA-002-17 HILLSBORO COMPREHENSIVE PLAN RECONCILIATION AMENDMENTS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that public hearings will be held before the Planning Commission at or shortly after 6:00 p.m., on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, in the Shirley Huffman Auditorium of the Civic Center, 150 E Main Street, Hillsboro. At the hearing, the Planning Commission will consider proposed text amendments to Hillsboro Comprehensive Plan, Ordinance No. 2793, as amended, and the Community Development Code, Ordinance No. 6094, as amended. The proposed major text amendment to the Hillsboro Comprehensive Plan (HCP) will replace in its entirety the current Comprehensive Plan adopted by Ordinance No. 2793 with updated Comprehensive Plan Goals & Policies. The proposed text amendments to the Community Development Code (CDC) will reconcile changes resulting from the proposed HCP amendment, including adding procedures for amending the Comprehensive Plan and updating references related to reformatting. The procedures by which Comprehensive Plan amendments are processed can be found in Section 1 (III) of the Hillsboro Comprehensive Plan (HCP). The HCP may be viewed online at or in the Planning Department office. The procedures by which text amendments are processed can be found in CDC Section 12.70.060, and the approval criteria can be found in Section 12.80.140. The CDC may be viewed online at or in the Planning Department office. The staff report and the proposed amendment will be available on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. The staff report, the application materials, and the applicable criteria are available for public inspection at no cost, or copies can be provided at reasonable cost, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays, in the Planning Department at the Civic Center, 150 E Main Street, 4th floor, Hillsboro, Oregon. ORS 197.763 provides that under certain circumstances, the record may remain open or a continuance may be granted upon the request of a participant.
