Notice of Public Hearing

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND COMMENT PERIOD ON WASHINGTON COUNTY’S CONSOLIDATED ANNUAL PERFORMANCE AND EVALUATION REPORT (CAPER) FOR PROGRAM YEAR 2016/2017 Washington County and the City of Beaverton have prepared their 2016 CAPER reports as required by federal regulations. The report details project accomplishments as well as expenditures throughout the period of July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017 for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and the HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program. The purpose of the report is to measure to what extent the jurisdictions are meeting priority needs, goals and strategies as outlined in the 2015-2020 Consolidated Plan. The CAPER report is available for review and comment and can be downloaded from the County’s web site at: http://www.co.washington.or.us/ CommunityDevelopment/Planning/annual-performance-report.cfm The report is due to HUD on October 28th, 2017. A 15-day public comment period on the report begins on Wednesday, September 27 and runs through Thursday, October 12. A public hearing on October 12th will be held to receive comments on the CAPER. The hearing will also be an opportunity to accept public comment on housing and community development needs in the County. The hearing will take place in the Washington St Conference Center, Rm 103 & 109, 225 S. First Avenue, Hillsboro, OR.
