6th Street Storm Sanitary Sewer Improvements Class Of Work: Earthwork And Drainage

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: 6TH STREET STORM SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS CLASS OF WORK: EARTHWORK AND DRAINAGE SD-955 MEDFORD, OR Proposals due: October 5, 2017 @ 2:00 pm Sealed proposals addressed to Cory Crebbin, Public Works Director, City of Medford, Oregon, endorsed 6th Street Storm and Sanitary Sewer Improvements will be received at the office of the Public Works Director, 200 S. Ivy Street, Medford, OR 97501, until 2:00:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, October 5, 2017, and thereafter will be opened publicly and read and will then be referred to the City Council. This project is located on 6th Street from Front Street to Ivy Street within the City of Medford and Jackson County, Oregon. This project includes all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to construct approximately 1365 feet of storm sewer pipe and 355 feet of sanitary sewer pipe. Approximately 70 feet of 30 inch storm and 8 inch sanitary carrier pipe will be constructed within the existing 48 inch steel casing beneath the railroad tracks. Approximately 1,295 feet of storm drain line will be relocated 10 feet north with the existing storm drain abandoned and backfilled with a flowable slurry. Existing sanitary sewer flows to be maintained at all times during construction (approximate flow of 200 GPM). Pay items include, but are not limited to the following: 1,365 ft storm sewer pipe; 355 ft sanitary sewer pipe; 16 concrete manholes; and 1,200 yd2 of trench resurfacing. Completion date: July 15, 2018. Cost Range: $500,000 – $1,000,000. Class of Work: Earthwork and Drainage. All Bidders shall be prequalified with the City of Medford, as provided by law under Oregon Revised Statutes, at least 5 days prior to opening of bids. All of the provisions of Section 279C.800 through 279C.870 ORS, as amended by Senate Bill 477, relating to wage rates to be paid on all contracts for Public Works in this state must be complied with and the statement attesting to the contractor’s willing ness to do so must be signed and submitted with the bid. All bidders must state at the appropriate place in the bid documents, whether or not the bidder is a resident as defined in ORS 279A.120. A percentage increase, as determined by the Department of General Services, will be added to nonresident’s bids for the purpose of determining the lowest qualified bidder.
