NOTICE OF APPLICATION Pursuant to Section 50.45.4 of the Beaverton Development Code, public notice of the following development application is being provided: PTF2017-0001 / SDM2017-0006 / TP2017-0006 Jenkins Road Improvements Washington County is seeking approval of a Public Transportation Facility application and a Sidewalk Design Modification applications for a project to widen SW Jenkins Road from SW 158th Avenue east to SW Murray Boulevard. The applicant proposes widen the road to provide two travel lanes in each direction, along with dedicated right- and left-turn lanes as needed. The project will also install buffered bike lanes. Where there are existing gaps in the sidewalks, new 6-foot-wide curb-tight sidewalks will be provided with this project. Some trees will be removed as part of the stormwater treatment improvements associated with the project. To be addressed in the staff report, written comments on the above development proposal shall be submitted no later than 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Mailed written comments shall be sent to the Planning Division, PO Box 4755, Beaverton, OR 97076. Written comments submitted in person shall be delivered to the Beaverton Planning Division, 4th floor, Beaverton Building, 12725 SW Millikan Way between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Note that City Hall will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday, November 23 and Friday, November 24. The decision-making authority for the above application is the Community Development Department Director. Any decision on the above development application shall be based on the Approval Criteria contained in Development Code Sections 40.03 Facilities Review, Section Public Transportation Facility, Section 40.58.15.C Sidewalk Design Modification, and Section Tree Plan Two.
