NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is hereby given that the City of Cornelius Planning Commission and City Council will hold public hearings on the following dates regarding the application described herein: Planning Commission, January 23, 2018 at 7:00 PM; City Council, February 5, 2018, 7:00 p.m. Hearing Location: Centro Cultural – La Plaza Hall, 1110 N Adair Street in Cornelius, Oregon. Local File No: CPA-02-17/CMCA-04-17. Proposal: A Type III approval of three proposed actions including: 1) Adoption of the 2018 Cornelius Transportation System Plan: Volume I; 2) Comprehensive Plan Text Amendment (CPA-02-17) to amend Chapter VIII (Transportation) of the Cornelius Comprehensive Plan and the Appendix; and 3) Municipal Code Text Amendment (CMCA-04-17) to amend the Cornelius Development & Zoning Code (Title 17 and Title 18 of the Cornelius Municipal Code) to achieve consistency with Metro’s Regional Transportation Plan, and in doing so continue to fulfill requirements in Oregon Administrative Rule 660-012, which is also known as the Transportation Planning Rule. The procedures by which Transportation System Plan and Comprehensive Plan amendments are processed can be found in the Cornelius Comprehensive Plan, Chapter 1. Amendments to the Development & Zoning code are processed in conformance with CMC Chapter 18.125. The staff report on this matter will be available no later than Tuesday, January 16, 2018. A copy of the staff report, all documents, and applicable criteria will be available for review at the Community Development Department, 1300 S. Kodiak Circle during regular business hours. The staff report, draft TSP, and other relevant documents may also be viewed online at All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting and will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning the proposal. Oral testimony will be taken in the following order: staff report, proponents, opponents, and Staff’s response. ORS 197.763 provides that under certain circumstances, the record may remain open or a continuance may be granted upon the request of a participant. Pursuant to ORS 197.763 failure to raise an issue at the final evidentiary hearing, or by close of the record, in person or by letter, or failure to provide sufficient specificity to afford the decision maker an opportunity to respond to the issue, precludes appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals based on that issue.
