TRI-COUNTY METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION DISTRICT OF OREGON CONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOR ADA UPGRADES AND IMPROVEMENTS TO THE CLACKAMAS TOWN CENTER PARKING GARAGE AND WILLOW CREEK TRANSIT CENTER Bids Date: May 1, 2018 at 2:00 PM INVITATION TO BID The Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon (TriMet) is soliciting sealed bids from qualified firms for construction services for ADA improvements and upgrades to the Clackamas Town Center Parking Garage and the Willow Creek Transit Center. The ITB documents may be obtained by logging on to the TriMet TriP$ website, and registering as a vendor. Vendor registration is recommended. By registering, you will be afforded an opportunity to select and download any TriMet ITB/RFP posted on TriP$ as well as receive any related addenda. If solicitation addenda are issued, only registered bidders will be notified via email of the availability of addenda for download. Acknowledgement of addenda will be required. TriMet will receive sealed bids at TriMet, Procurement & Contracts Department, 1800 SW First Avenue, Suite 300, Portland, OR 97201 Attention: Zach Cooper (PD), until 2:00 PM Pacific Time, on May 1, 2018, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Alsea Conference Room. A pre-bid conference will be held on Tuesday April 17, 2018, beginning at 9:00 a.m. (local time), in the Alsea Conference Room at TriMet’s Harrison Square Office, 1800 SW First Ave., Third Floor, Portland, OR 97201. Prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. A bid bond in the amount of 10 percent of the bid is required to be submitted with the bid documents. A 100% payment bond and a 100% performance bond on TriMet’s own bond forms will be required prior to beginning work. Contractors must be licensed with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board (CCB) in accordance with ORS 701.005 prior to submitting their bid and must file a public work bond with the CCB. TriMet’s bid bond (see Section 4 – Bid Forms), a cashier’s check or a certified check for 10 percent of the bidder’s total bid price, or an irrevocable letter of credit issued by an insured institution as defined in ORS 706.008 for that amount, must be submitted with the bid. If a bidder conditions the bid bond to provide for the possibility of payment of any amount less than 10 percent of the total bid price, the bid bond will not be accepted, and will cause the bid to be rejected as non-responsive.
