NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL (Legislative – LOC Hearing Date, Time, and Location: Tuesday, June 5, 2018; 6:30 p.m. City Council Chambers 380 A Avenue Lake Oswego, OR 97034 File Numbers: LU 18-0003 (Ordinance 2784) Applicant: City of Lake Oswego Nature of Application and Proposed Legislative Amendments: A request from the City of Lake Oswego for legislative text amendment to the Community Development Code (CDC) to amend the standards for Secondary Dwelling Units (SDUs), LOC; associated amendments to Parking, LOC 50.06.002, Review Procedures, LOC 50.07.003, Minor Variances LOC 50.08.002, and LOC 50.10.003 Definitions [renaming Secondary Dwelling Units to Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)] are also proposed for consistency with the amendments to the SDU standards. The purpose of the amendments is to allow development of Secondary Dwelling Units with a more streamlined process. On April 23, 2018, the Planning Commission made a final recommendation that the City Council approve the proposed amendments.
