LEGAL ADVERTISEMENT CITY OF PRINEVILLE INVITATION TO BID #4017-17-18 The City of Prineville Public Works Department is seeking services related to the rehabilitation of approximately 833,814 square feet (sq. ft.) of City Streets. The following streets shall either have the existing asphalt wearing surface ground and inlaid or shall be a standard asphalt concrete overlay. N Main/McKay from Peters Rd. to house #5200 Fairview St. From NE 4th to SE 5th grind and inlay Fairview St. from SE 5th to Lynn Blvd overlay NE 4th from Elm to Fairview grind and inlay SE 2nd St. from Fairview to Idlewood grind and inlay NE Stearns Rd. from 3rd to Cattleman Dr. 1&1/2 overlay NE Williamson Rd. from 3rd to South end 1&1/2 overlay NE Slayton Ct. from Williamson to Cul-de-sac 1&1/2 overlay NE Baldwin Ct. from Williamson to Cul-de-sac 1&1/2 overlay NW Industrial Park Rd. from Gardner to Cul-de-sac overlay SW High Desert Dr. from Tom McCall to Apple entrance overlay Sealed bids for the City of Prineville 2018 Paving Project will be received until 2:00 PM PDST on the 14th day of June, 2018 at City Hall, 387 NE 3rd St, Prineville, Oregon. Each proposal must be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed as follows: Lori Ontko City of Prineville City Hall 387 NE 3rd St Prineville, OR 97754 The envelope shall be clearly marked: Bid Proposal of (insert name of Contractor) 2018 Paving Project Bids will be publicly opened at 2:00 PM PDST on the 14th day of June 2018 and the apparent low bidder will be determined. It is anticipated that the City of Prineville Council will present the intent to award the contract at the Council meeting on the 26th day of June 2018. The start date for this project shall be no sooner than the 16th day of July 2018 with a completion date of no later than the 28th day of September, 2018. A Mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held promptly at 2:00 pm on the 7th day of June 2018 at the City of Prineville City Hall to review key project elements and answer questions. Please tour the above streets prior to this meeting so that all questions can be answered. The work contemplated generally consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, supplies and materials to complete the 2018 Paving Project as described below. Provide a traffic control plan for the N Main/McKay paving. There are 30 driveways, 12 intersections and 2 match points/taper grinds. * Grind approximately 187,000 sq. ft. of City of Prineville Streets. * 10 match points/ taper grinds * Inlay/Overlay of approximately 11,343 tons of asphalt. All work and materials must comply with the adopted City of Prineville Standard Specifications except as superseded in the following special conditions. Copies of the Standard Specifications are available at the City of Prineville Planning Department, City Hall for $80.00. The Standard Specifications are also available on the City of Prineville website Special Conditions: The following additional specifications shall be followed for this project. * ODOT Level 3, 1/2 dense asphalt shall be used unless otherwise specified * PG 70-28 asphalt grade binder shall be used. * Successful bidder shall retain all grindings. * City of Prineville will provide all notification to property owners. * Successful bidder shall provide all traffic control and flagging. * Two-way travel shall be maintained on N. Main St and traffic control plan approved. * City of Prineville will acquire the required ODOT permits pertaining to work near Hwy 26 * All inlays/overlays may be applied in one lift. Points of Clarification: * All areas ground shall be inlayed within 3 days of grind. * Existing drainage shall be maintained. * The City will provide additional valve cans and manhole riser rings if needed. It is the successful bidder’s responsibility to adjust these items as needed. * Grindings may be staged at the City owned lot located on NW Lamonta Rd. The Engineer’s estimate for this project is $861
