NOTICE OF APPLICATION DR2018-0024 – Design Review 2 – Jesuit HS New Athletic Storage Building.

NOTICE OF APPLICATION Pursuant to Section 50.40.4 of the Beaverton Development Code, public notice of the following development application is being provided: DR2018-0024 – Design Review 2 – Jesuit HS New Athletic Storage Building. The applicant, Jesuit High School, proposes to replace an existing storage building with a larger building to improve storage of their athletic equipment on site. The new building is proposed to be one-story approximately 4,000 square feet in size made of pre-engineered metal to replace the existing 1,300 square foot concrete block / metal roofed building. The building is centrally located on the site with a 270 to 500-foot distance from any property line or public street. The building is to support the existing use on the site with no additional employees or students generated by this proposal. The subject property is located in the City’s Community Service (CS) commercial zone where educational institutions are permitted outright. The application subject to this notice, Design Review 2, includes review of the proposed building location and all site improvements. The subject site is located on the south side of SW Beaverton Hillsdale Highway, west of SW Poplar Lane, east of SW Jamieson Road and is addressed as 9000 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Highway. The project site is also identified as Tax Lot 1300 on Washington County Assessor’s Map 1S1 14AD. No public hearing is scheduled for this proposal. On June 27, 2018, the Beaverton Facilities Review Committee will meet to discuss the proposal with the applicant. The Facilities Review Committee is not a decision-making body, but advises the Planning Director on a project’s conformity to the technical criteria specified in Section 40.03 of the Beaverton Development Code. The Director will include the Committee’s recommendation and findings in the Notice of Decision that is issued following the Facilities Review meeting. Any decision on the above development application shall be based on Facilities Review approval criteria of Section 40.03 and the Design Review 2 approval criteria of Section of the Beaverton Development Code. Failure to raise an issue in a hearing, by testifying in person or by letter, or failure to provide statements or evidence with sufficient specificity to afford the decision-making authority an opportunity to respond to such issue, may preclude appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals on that issue. Written comments in response to this proposal must be received by Wednesday, June 27, 2018 to be included as part of the record.
