NOTICE OF APPLICATION Pursuant to Section 50.45.4 of the Beaverton Development Code, public notice of the following development application is being provided: Beaverton Public Safety Center – ADJ2018-0001, CU2018-0004, CU2018-0005, DR2018-0040, LD2018-0014, TP2018-0004. Please be advised that the applicant has withdrawn and resubmitted the above referenced applications to address a technical error. The new application numbers for the Public Safety Center proposal include ADJ2018-0004, CU2018-0011, CU2018-0012, DR2018-0073, LD2018-0024 and TP2018-0006. On July 11, 2018, at 6:30 p.m., the City of Beaverton Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing to consider the Beaverton Public Safety Center proposal. The applicant, City of Beaverton, proposes to construct a three-story Public Safety Center, approximately 72,000 square-feet in size. Existing structures on site are proposed to be demolished. Design Review Three approval is required for construction of the proposed building and the associated landscape, parking and site modifications. The applicant requests approval of a Major Adjustment to exceed the maximum building height by seven feet. Tree Plan Two approval is requested for removal of approximately five Community Trees on site. Conditional Use approval is required for use as a public building within the Neighborhood Service zone. The applicant also requests Conditional Use approval for extended hours of operation. The applicant requests Replat Two approval to consolidate the lots that comprise the project site. The site is located on the south side of SW Allen Boulevard, between SW Main Avenue and SW Hall Boulevard. The project site is also identified as Tax Lots 200, 500, 602, 701, 1200, 1400, 1700 and 1800 on Washington County Assessor’s Map 1S121AA. The decision-making authority for the above application is the Planning Commission. Any decision on the above development application shall be based on approval criteria as contained in Section 40.03 Facilities Review; Section Major Adjustment; Section Conditional Use-New; Section Design Review Three; Section Land Division – Replat Two; and Section Tree Plan Two. Failure to raise an issue in a hearing, by testifying in person or by letter, or failure to provide statements or evidence with sufficient specificity to afford the decision-making authority an opportunity to respond to such issue, may preclude appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals on that issue. To be included as part of the Staff Report addressed to the Planning Commission, written comments must be received by Friday, June 29, 2018. Mailed written comments should be sent to the attention of Cassera Phipps, City of Beaverton, Community Development Department, P.O. Box 4755, Beaverton, OR 97076. Written comments submitted in person shall be delivered to the Community Development Department, 4th Floor, Beaverton City Hall, at 12725 SW Millikan Way. A Facilities Review Committee meeting with the applicant will be held on June 20, 2018. The Facilities Review Committee is not a decision-making body, but advises the Director and Planning Commission on conformity to the technical criteria identified in Section 40.03 of the Beaverton Development Code. The Committee’s recommendation will be included in the staff report addressed to the Planning Commission. The Facilities Review Committee meeting is open to the public but is not the venue for receiving public testimony.
