NEWBERG CITY COUNCIL HEARING NOTICE The Newberg City Council will hold a public hearing on July 2, 2018 at 7 p.m. at the Newberg Public Safety Building, 401 E Third Street, Newberg, OR, to evaluate the following proposal: Accessory Dwelling Units – Comprehensive Plan Policies and Municipal Code Regulations. Consider a proposal to amend the Newberg Comprehensive Plan and Newberg Municipal Code regarding Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) policies and regulations: Comprehensive Plan – I. HOUSING, POLICIES: 3. Mix Policies; J. URBAN DESIGN GOAL 1: 4. Residential Areas Policies; III. PLAN CLASSIFICATIONS, 2. a-c; Newberg Municpal Code – 15.05.030 Definitions; 15.305.020 Zoning use table – Use districts; 15.405.040 Lot coverage and parking coverage requirements; and Article V. Accessory Dwelling Units File: CPTA18-0001/DCA18-0001 You may examine information regarding these projects at the Newberg Community Development Department, 414 E First Street, Newberg, OR 97132, or on the city website at https://www.newbergoregon.gov/planning. The staff recommendation regarding these projects will be available one week before the hearing. If you have any questions, please call the Newberg Planning Division at 503-537-1240. All interested persons may appear and provide testimony. The City Council asks that 12 copies of written testimony be submitted to the City Recorder before 12:00 PM on July 2, 2018. Written testimony received after that time will be brought before the Council on the night of the meeting for consideration and a vote to accept or not accept it into the record.
