Planning Commission Legislative Hearing

PUBLIC NOTICE PLANNING COMMISSION LEGISLATIVE HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN: That the City of Fairview Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to review proposed Development Code amendments at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 in the Council Chambers of the Fairview City Hall, located at 1300 NE Village Street, Fairview, Oregon. Interested persons are invited to appear and testify on the proposal. Application #2018-45-ZC and Ordinance 7-2018 – Text amendments to the Fairview Municipal Code (FMC) Sections 19.13, Definitions; 19.30, Residential (R) District; and 19.115, Village Single Family, to implement the requirements of Senate Bill 1051 and make related amendments to accessory dwelling unit (ADU) development standards. The amendments will apply to all zones that allow single-family detached homes. The application is subject to the Type IV legislative process in accordance with FMC 19.413.040, and criteria in FMC 19.205 as well as the rules of procedure adopted by the Council. The Planning Commission will review the above application and make a recommendation to the City Council. The City Council will consider the Planning Commission’s recommendation at two public hearings tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, August 15 and Wednesday, September 5. The City Council may make a final decision regarding the above application at the public hearing on September 5, 2018. If City Council renders a decision, it will be mailed to anyone who submitted written comments, provided public testimony, or who is otherwise legally entitled to notice.
