NEWBERG CITY COUNCIL HEARING NOTICE The Newberg City Council will hold a public hearing on August 6, 2018 at 7 p.m. at the Newberg Public Safety Building, 401 E. Third Street, Newberg, OR, to evaluate the following proposals: 1. Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment & Zoning Map Amendment at 1109 S River Street: Consider an application for an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan Map and Zoning Map to change the property at 1109 S River St. from Medium Density Residential (MDR) to High Density Residential (HDR) and R-2 to R-3. Applicant: RHW Enterprises, Inc. File: CPMA18-0002 AND ZMA18-0001 2. Oak Meadows II Specific Plan Amendment: Consider a site-specific Comprehensive Plan amendment of the Springbrook Oaks Specific Plan R-P/SP (Residential-Professional/Specific Plan) Area F-1 to remove a restriction on residential development for the subject property. The subject property is 6.66 acres in area and is generally located west of 879 Providence Drive, Newberg. The parent tax lot number is R3216-02026. The R-P base zone allows residential uses. However, the F-1 Area was amended in 2006 by Ordinance 2657 to prohibit residential uses due to anticipated impacts from the Newberg-Dundee bypass. Applicant: MJD Development, Inc. The City Council asks that 12 copies of written testimony be submitted to the City Recorder before 12:00 PM on August 6, 2018. Written testimony received after that time will be brought before the Council on the night of the meeting for consideration and a vote to accept or not accept it into the record.
