TRI-COUNTY METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION DISTRICT OF OREGON CONSTRUCTION SERVICES FOR MAX STATION PLATFORM TACTILE STRIP REPLACEMENT Bids due: Sept. 6, 2018 @ 2:00 pm INVITATION TO BID (ITB) The Tri-County Metropolitan Transportation District of Oregon (TriMet) is soliciting sealed bids from qualified firms to provide construction services for replacement of the platform tactile strips at the Tuality Hospital/SE 8th Avenue, Hillsboro Central, and Hatfield Government Center MAX Stations, as described herein (Project). The ITB documents may be obtained by logging on to the TriMet eProcurement System website (TriP$) and registering as a vendor: https://solutions.sciquest.com/apps/Router/SupplierLogin?CustOrg=TriMet Vendor registration is recommended. By registering, you will be afforded an opportunity to select and download any TriMet solicitation posted on TriP$ as well as receive any related addenda. If solicitation addenda are issued, only registered bidders will be notified via email of the availability of addenda for download. Acknowledgement of addenda will be required. TriMet will receive sealed bids at TriMet, Procurement & Contracts Department, 1800 SW First Avenue, Suite 300, Portland, OR 97201 Attention: Zach Cooper, until 2:00 PM on September 6, 2018, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Alsea Conference Room. No electronic or facsimile bids will be accepted. Use of UPS, Federal Express, or in-person delivery is recommended for bid submission to this location. U.S. Postal Service mail may be unreliable for timely delivery. A pre-bid conference will be held on August 23, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Alsea Conference Room at TriMet’s Harrison Square Office, 1800 SW First Ave., Third Floor, Portland, OR 97201. Prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. TriMet requires one of the following with the bid: TriMet’s bid bond (see Section 6 – Bid Forms), a cashier’s check or a certified check for 10 percent of the bidder’s total bid price, or an irrevocable letter of credit issued by an insured institution as defined in ORS 706.008 for that amount. If a bidder conditions the bid bond to provide for the possibility of payment of any amount less than 10 percent of the total bid price, the bid bond will not be accepted, and will cause the bid to be rejected as non-responsive.
