Threadgill’s Memorial Services, LLC Home Occupation HO2018-0002

Pursuant to Section 50.40.4 of the Beaverton Development Code, public notice of the following development application is being provided: Threadgill’s Memorial Services, LLC Home Occupation HO2018-0002 The applicant, Best Strategies, Inc., dba Threadgill’s Memorial Services, LLC, is seeking Home Occupation Two approval to a home office for funeral and cremation services. The scope of services include consultation and related paperwork, with occasional pickup and delivery. All other related services occur on the company’s website, and off-site at the company’s warehouse and showroom facility in Northeast Portland, 4835 NE Pacific Street, in addition to churches, cemeteries or parks where services are held. No exterior site modifications are proposed. The applicant states there will be only occasional customer visits to the home. One employee lives in the home. The site is located at 9520 SW Duncan Lane, Tax Lots 02000 of Washington County Assessor’s Map 1S114BD. The site is within the Residential Urban Low Density (R10) zoning district and within the Denney Whitford/Raleigh West Neighborhood Association Committee (NAC). Any decision on the above development proposal shall be based on the Approval Criteria contained in the following sections of Development Code of the Beaverton: 40.40.15.2. Home Occupation Two. Home Occupation Two applications do not require a Facilities Review Meeting. However, should the applicant request it, the Facilities Review Committee Meeting will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2018. The Facilities Review Committee is not a decision-making body but advises the Director on a project’s conformity to the technical criteria specified in Section 40.03 of the Development Code of the City of Beaverton. The Facilities Review Committee meeting is open to the public, but is not intended for public testimony. Written comments on the above development proposal shall be submitted no later than 4:30 pm, Wednesday, October 3, 2018 in order to be addressed in the staff report. Failure to raise an issue or failure to provide statements or evidence with sufficient specificity to afford the decision-making authority an opportunity to respond to such issue, may preclude appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals on that issue. Mailed written comments shall be sent to the Current Planning Division, PO Box 4755, Beaverton, OR 97076. Written comments submitted in person shall be delivered to the Planning Division, 4th Floor, the Beaverton Building, 12725 SW Millikan Way, between the hours of 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, except holidays. The Director is the decision-making authority for the above application and shall issue a written decision on the above development proposal on or around Wednesday, October 17, 2018 pursuant to Section 50.40.10.
