CITY OF SCAPPOOSE NOTICE OF LEGISLATIVE LAND USE PUBLIC HEARINGS DOCKET # DCTA2-18 The Scappoose Planning Commission and City Council have scheduled Legislative Land Use Public Hearings to solicit comments on the following proposed amendments to Scappoose Development Code: 1. The addition of a new Chapter to the Development Code, Chapter 17.126 – Food Cart Pod Permits. 2. An amendment to Chapters 17.62 – General Commercial (C) and 17.68- Expanded Commercial (EC) to add food cart pods as a permitted use. 3. An amendment to Chapters 17.69- Public Use Airport (PUA) and 17.70-Light Industrial (LI) to add food cart pods as a conditional use. 4. An amendment to Chapter 17.162 – Procedures for Decision Making–Quasi-Judicial to clarify the approval process for food cart pod permits. The Planning Commission hearing is scheduled for December 13, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Scappoose City Hall Council Chambers, 33568 E. Columbia Avenue, Scappoose, Oregon. The initial City Council hearing is scheduled for January 7, 2019, with a final City Council hearing scheduled for January 22, 2019 at 7:00 PM in the City Hall Council Chambers. The purpose of the hearings is to take testimony, either written or oral, regarding the proposed amendments. The Planning Commission will make a recommendation to the City Council and the City Council may approve, approve with modifications, or deny the proposed amendments following the Public Hearing. Copies of the proposed amendments are available for inspection at the Scappoose Community Development Center (52610 NE 1st Street). Copies are also available for purchase at a cost of $0.20 per page for black & white or $0.30 per page for color.
