CITY OF HILLSBORO NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CDCA-004-18: OMNIBUS 4 AMENDMENTS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Hillsboro Planning Commission at or shortly after 6:00 p.m., on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, in the Shirley Huffman auditorium of the Civic Center, 150 East Main Street, Hillsboro. At the hearing, the Planning Commission will consider a package of proposed text amendments to Community Development Code (CDC), Ordinance No. 6094. Omnibus amendments address minor changes to improve readability, clarify language, and comply with recent changes to state and regional laws. The proposed text amendments would affect all subchapters of the CDC: 12.01 General Provisions; 12.10 Use Categories; 12.21 Single Family Residential Zones; 12.22 Multi-Family Residential Zones; 12.23 Commercial Zones; 12.24 Mixed-Use And Urban Center Zones; 12.25 Industrial Zones; 12.26 Institutional and Open Space Zones; 12.27 Overlay Zones; 12.30 Non-Conforming Situations: Uses; Structures, and Lots; 12.40 Special Use Standards; 12.50 Development and Design Standards; 12.60 Plan Districts Generally; 12.61 Downtown Plan District; 12.62 Orenco Plan District; 12.63 Hawthorn Farm / Fair Complex Plan District; 12.64 Amberglen Plan District; 12.65 South Hillsboro Plan District; 12.66 North Hillsboro Industrial Area Plan District; 12.70 Procedures; and 12.80 Applications. The procedures by which text amendments are processed can be found in CDC Section 12.70.060, and the approval criteria can be found in Section 12.80.140. The Community Development Code may also be viewed online at http://www.hillsboro-oregon.gov/CommunityDevelopmentCode, or in the Planning Department office. The staff report and the proposed text amendments will be available on Wednesday, January 2, 2019. Staff reports and associated materials are available for inspection at no cost or copies can be provided at reasonable cost. Materials can be reviewed from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays, at the Planning Department, 150 East Main Street, 4th Floor, Hillsboro, Oregon 97123. All interested persons are invited to attend this meeting and will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning the proposal. If you are unable to attend the hearing, you may submit a written statement to the Planning Department at the address above, on or before the hearing date. Comments may be mailed to the address noted above. Please reference Case File No. CDCA-004-18 on all written testimony. Telephone conversations cannot be accepted as testimony. Pursuant to ORS 197.830 (2), failure to raise an issue at the hearing, or by close of the record, in person or by letter, or failure to provide sufficient specificity to afford the decision maker an opportunity to respond to the issue precludes appeal to the Land Use Board of Appeals based on that issue.
