Request by Curt Ryun to annex property

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The Metolius City Council will conduct a Public Hearing to consider a request by Curt Ryun to Annex property he owns to the City. The Public Hearing will begin at 7:00 pm on February 4th at the Metolius Train Depot located at 599 Washington Avenue. The property is shown on the Jefferson County Assessor’s Maps as Tax Lot 800 on Map 11S-13E-28AD and located east of Butte Avenue, between 6thand 7th Street. The Property is inside the City’s adopted Urban Growth Boundary and is designated Residential on the Plan Map. Until it is annexed to the City, the property is under the jurisdiction of Jefferson County and is currently designated A-1. The Annexation Ordinance will designate the property Residential R-1 as part of the annexation process. The City will receive written comments beginning from the date of receipt of this notice through January 30th, 2019 until 4:00 p.m. All interested parties are urged to attend and submit testimony. Failure to raise an issue in writing within the comment period or failure to provide statements or evidence sufficient to afford the decision maker an opportunity to respond to the issue precludes and appeal to the City Council or LUBA on this issue. The City relies on the Section 17.64.030 B – Quasi-Judicial Amendments of the Metolius Zoning Code to govern the land use process.
