NOTICE OF STREET VACATION AND HEARING The Madras City Council will be conducting a Public Hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 in the Madras City Council Chambers located at 125 SW E Street. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public input regarding a proposed alleyway vacation at the location described below. After the public hearing, Council may consider passage of an ordinance formalizing the proposed vacation. PROPOSED AREA TO BE VACATED: ALLEY BETWEEN CLEVELAND & JEFFERSON STREETS; BETWEEN SIXTH & SEVENTH STREETS (20-foot wide alley lying in Lot 3, Block 10, North Unit Subdivision, City of Madras, Jefferson County Oregon.) OWNER(S) OF RECORD OF THE ADJACENT PROPERTIES ARE AS FOLLOWS: Mike E. Schmaltz Assessor’s Map #11.13.1BB, Tax Lot #4000 KB Management Assessor’s Map #11.13.1BB, Tax Lot #4500 KB Management Assessor’s Map #11.13.1BB, Tax Lot #4601 The applicant who is initiating the vacation proceedings is the City of Madras as authorized by ORS 271.130 (Vacation on City Governing Body’s Own Motion). Copies of the map of the area to be vacated are available at Madras City Hall located at 125 SW E Street, Madras, Oregon, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Objections or remonstrances must be filed, in writing, no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 or can be presented verbally to the Council during the Public Hearing.
